I had so wanted to see Bob before he pasted, but had no idea where he was at. I had checked at hospital hoping he was in Parc Hall which was awhile back. Enjoyed the honk when he would go by. My prayers go out to the family members.
Funeral Service for Bob will be 6:30 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Graettinger. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday. Joyce-Alesch Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Robert Masters, the son of Albert and Evelyn (Horswell) Masters, was born August 3, 1931 in Iowa.
He attended Graettinger High School before he entered the United States Army. On January 11, 1958, Robert was united in marriage to Bernice Cole in Jackson, Minnesota.
Robert worked for Palo Alto County for over 36 years in the secondary road department. He attended the United Methodist Church. Robert loved racing, snowmobiling and watching his children and grandchildren in all of their activities. He enjoyed coffee with friends, chatting about anything and everything, and slow drives around Graettinger seeing what's going on around town.
On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, Robert passed away at the Ruthven Care Center. He was 87.
Left to cherish his memory are his four sons: Mike and Kim of Albert City, Iowa, Terry of Graettinger, Bruce and Marcia of Graettinger and Tony and Becky of Graettinger; sister, Patricia Duhn of Phoenix, AZ eight grandchildren: Andrea Fox (Andy), Logan Masters (Amber), April Masters (Matt Buss), Boston Galik (Kyle), Jake Masters (Krista) and Bailey Masters (Travis Muller), Slone Masters and Matt Masters; three great-grandchildren: Lincoln Masters, Avery Galik and Alivia Galik.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice; and his sister, Janice Cox.
