Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger. Burial is in High Lake Cemetery, Wallingford.
Visitation: The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday at the Joyce-Alesch Funeral Home where there will be a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m.
Donna Mae (Coyle) Iverson was born May 15, 1937, in Yankton, South Dakota the daughter of Clarence and Buelah (Morgan) Coyle. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1955, and she received her Associate of Arts degree from Estherville Junior College in 1957. On September 7, 1959, Donna was united in marriage to Donald Iverson at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville. The couple made their home near High Lake where they raised their four children. Donna often times helped Don out on the farm. She was an Avon sales representative, and she worked in the Iowa Lakes Community College Bookstore and Parts Department. Donna was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She served on the Palo Alto County Arts Council, and she was a committee member of the Miss Emmet & Dickinson County and the Miss Great Lakes of Iowa pageants. She enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling, bowling, golfing, knitting, sewing and ceramics. Donna was an avid reader, and she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. On Tuesday, August 19, 2008, Donna passed away at Countryside Senior Living in Sioux City, Iowa. Left to Cherish her memory are her children: Craig and wife, Denise of Littleton, Colorado, Valerie and husband, Jerry Varney of Hinsdale, Illinois, Keith and wife, Linda of Sioux City, Iowa and Heidi and husband, Randy Rouse of Sioux City, Iowa; a brother, Roger Coyle of Anaheim, CA; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald.

Craig,Val, Keith, Heidi and families, I wanted to convey my deepest sympathies for the passing of your mom. I have great memories of her coming to our house for "Avon" stops. I truly enjoyed visiting with her on these occassions. Her smile and laugh were wonderful! May God bless all of you and help you through this difficult time.

Craig, Val, Keith,Heidi and families: I wish that I could have made it to your mother's "goodbye". I have fond memories of her as a child and also knowing her and your father as an adult. I am sure that you have comfort knowing that she is with Don now. She was a very pleasant lady and always went out of her way to talk to me. My thoughts are with all of you at a difficult time. I do believe that she will always be by your side !! Take Care!!

Thanks to all of you for your kind words about our mother. All four of us kids greatly appreciated hearing friends talk about our mother this past week. We all feel that we were truly blessed to have been raised by her. What a wonderful person she was.
