Burial is in High Lake Cemetery, Wallingford. | | Visitation: The family will greet friends from 5 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral Home. | | On Saturday, May 10, 2008, Lennice Beatrice Reichert of Emmetsburg passed away at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg. She was 96.
Lennice was born September 11, 1911, in Callendar, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel and Lena (Oleson) Evanson. After graduating from Callendar High School, she became a cosmetician and was manager of the cosmetic department for Fort Hopkins in Fort Dodge.
On December 31, 1945, Lennice married Dale Reichert in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The couple lived in Mason City, before moving to Emmetsburg to raise their family. The family enjoyed spending their summers at Clear Lake, Iowa, in the cottage that Dale and Lennice built.
Lennice enjoyed golfing, playing the organ, clothes shopping and taking care of her home. She and Dale loved traveling and spending winters in Arizona. Lennice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her world revolved around her family. Known as “grandma” to all, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dale; children Jack (Debbie) Reichert of Winter Park, Colorado, and Deborah (Wade) Lundgren of Emmetsburg; grandchildren Haley Reichert, Todd (Lisa) Lundgren, Tracie (Brian) Schulz, Ryan (Peg) Lundgren, Ehren Lundgren, and Brandon Lundgren; great-grandchildren Isaac, Tanner and Baylee Lundgren and Taylor and Ava Schulz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Martin and Sam Evanson; sisters Viola Lowry, Marie Cochran, Mildred Williams and Anna Evanson; an infant brother and infant great-grandson.
