| Visitation: The family will greet friends from 2 – 8:00 p.m., Monday at the First United Methodist Church. |

Randy Elmer Simington was born December 20, 1959, in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Jerry and Janice (Miller) Simington. He was a 1978 graduate of Graettinger High School. In 1984, Randy enlisted in the United States Army. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Medic Division where he served in the Gulf War from August of 1990 to May of 1991.
Randy was united in marriage to Kristy Duus on August 8, 1984 in San Antonio, Texas. They spent six years in Fort Brag, NC where Randy was stationed. Following Randy’s service in the Army, they lived in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area for several years before returning to Graettinger in 1996. Randy worked in sales for Energy Panel Structures in Graettinger.
He was a member of the Graettinger American Legion Post #162. Randy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and the anticipation of a Minnesota Viking football game. He loved to go on bike rides with his kids, take drives around the lake, and meet Sarah for a hamburger lunch. His black labs Scout I and II were his best friends. Randy’s favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends.
On Friday, February 29, 2008, Randy passed away.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Kristy of Graettinger; children: Chance Simington of Fargo, ND, Jeremy Simington (Angie) of Cedar Falls, IA, Adam Simington of Vermillion, SD, and Alissa and Sarah Simington of Graettinger; his mother, Janice Simington of Graettinger; three sisters: Cindy (Iven) Bisgard, Dawn Alesch (Wade) and Lynn Neilson (Dave) all of Graettinger, IA; brother, Brian Simington (Karen) of Ashton, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry; grandparents; and a niece, Heather.

| To Kristy and family;
