Pam, I wanted to extend my sympathy to you. I knew Steve when I was a little girl as I grew up neighbors to his family He was in my brother Kirk's class and my sister Deb also knew him. I recall that Steve always had a joke to tell and then "snickered" at himself after he told it. I don't think that I ever saw him less than "happy about life". He seemed to leave a wonderful impression with whomever he met or was around. Even though your time was cut incredibly short, I know that you will have memories to carry you through. Use them to laugh, cry and heal. My thoughts are with you.

Steve and I became friends in 1995 while working in Sun Valley, Idaho together. After riding a borrowed Yamaha on a few trips with Wade Turner and I on our Harleys, Steve decided he wanted a Harley and I was only too hapy to give him a ride to Twin Falls so that he could purchase his own Harley. We had many good times riding together that summer and in Colorado and California. Steve appreciated the simple pleasures and never showed up at my home without a bottle of Black Velvet for himself, a bottle of Jack Daniels for me, a bottle of wine for my wife, the best steaks or seafood he could find, and something for my kids, who adored him. He once sent me fresh King crab and fresh salmon on dry ice from Anchorage, Alaske to Los Angeles!! Our feet are still the same, Steve, ride free Brother...

To the family;may you find comfort in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves."(Psalms 34;18) Take care,
