Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery. | | Visitation: The family will greet friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. | | Luigi Bartocci was born January 17, 1935, in Esanatoglia, Italy, the son of Celeste and Giuseppi (Antinori) Bartocci. He attended school in Esanatoglia. In 1963, Luigi left his native Italy to work in Switzerland. On May 2, 1985, Luigi was united in marriage to Prudence White in Geneva, Switzerland.
After his retirement in 1996, Luigi returned to Italy. In September 2006, Luigi and Prudence moved to the United States because of his illness. Luigi enjoyed taking care of his home, gardening, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Luigi was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
On December 6, 2008, Luigi passed away at his home in Emmetsburg.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Prudence; children: Stefano Bartocci of Italy, Natalina Paolucci of Italy and Laura VanHeuvelen of Emmetsburg; sister: Ivana Andreas of Italy; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
