Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ayrshire. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery, Ayrshire.
Visitation: The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 26th at the Joyce Funeral Home in Emmetsburg.
Margaret Mary Frischmeyer was born February 18, 1924, in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Lappe) Frischmeyer. She attended St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic School in Carroll. On January 16, 1945, Margaret was united in marriage to Kenneth Stangl in Carroll, Iowa. In 1948, Margaret and Ken moved north to Ayrshire, Iowa where they farmed for many years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, quilting and playing cards. She loved family get-togethers and helping Ken on the farm. Margaret was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and Bridge Club. On Sunday, December 21, 2008, Margaret passed away at the Ruthven Community Care Center. Left to cherish her memory are her children: LaVern and Diane Stangl of Hayward, WI, Allen and Connie Stangl of Ayrshire, Connie and Gary Lamoreux of Sioux City, Jeanette Stangl of Missoula, MT and Leon and Pam Stangl of Hamilton, MT; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken and two brothers: Leonard and Lawrence Frischmeyer.

Connie and Family, So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother-in-law at this time of the year. It\'s so hard to lose a loved one especially on or near the holidays. I lost my grandmother on Thanksgiving Day, a few years ago. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family now. Thots and prayers are with you. Susan
