| Visitation: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the West Bend-Mallard Community School. A tribute in celebration of Mindy's life will be 8:00 p.m., following the visitation at the West Bend-Mallard Gymnasium. |
| Melinda Sue Bruellman was born April 28, 1991, in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of John and Cindy (Harms) Bruellman. She attended West Bend – Mallard Community Schools. Mindy was a member of the WBM Drill Team and National Honor Society. She was a football cheerleader and statistician, class officer of the junior class, and active in SAQ.
Mindy worked at the West Bend Care Center as a nurse’s aide and for Kampen Foods in West Bend. She was a very caring and loving girl - always greeting you with a smile. Mindy loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, four wheeling, cats and her dog, Bubba. She was an avid reader and loved to spend spare time with her special friend, Chris Gearhart.
On August 21, 2008, Mindy was called home.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents: John and Cindy of Ottosen, Iowa; three siblings: Michael and wife, Lisa and their daughter, Michaela of Ottosen, sister, Jonna Quinn and husband, Daniel of West Des Moines and Calvin Bruellman of Ottosen;; paternal grandparents: Eugene and Evelyn Bruellman of West Bend; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Albert and Margaret (Hansen) Harms; two uncles: Bryon Bruellman and Larry Harms; and her special friend, Chris Gearhart.

| I happened upon this notice and my heart goes out to the family of Melinda Bruellman. Though I do not know the family I wanted to convey my sympathy and share the thought from the bible that I look to at times such as these. Our heavenly father Jehovah is a God of love and he hates to see us in pain. This thought is supported at Revelation 21:3,4, where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore". I personally cannot wait for this time to come. Also we await the fulfillment of John 5:28 where it promises that all those in the memorial tombs will come out. What a time of celebration when we will be crying tears of joy instead of sorrow. I hope that you find comfort in these scriptures as I have. I again am sorry for your loss. We, too, know the loss and emptiness that fills your heart at this most difficult time. Our son Aaron (age 14) was called to heaven on June 11, 2008 due to the tornado at the Little Sioux Scout Ranch. We would just like you to know that we are praying for you and that we are here if you need us. Take your time in your greif as you are the only one who will know how you feel at any given time.

| Bruellmans, I could not possibly speak the words that need to be said. But I wanted to express my sympathy. I know Mindy is looking down on us with love and big beautiful smile on her face. She always have a way of making me smile with that big beautiful grin of hers. She truly was a shining star and I will miss seeing her tear up the gym floor during Drill Team. I loved having Mindy around, she always had a good attitude and was ready to get to work hard to get a job done.

| No words can ease the pain, but fond memories and kind words will last a lifetime. Mindy was such a positive spirit here on earth. She could light up a room from a mile away. We all share in your grief and only pray you find peace in knowing you raised an unbeliveable young women, with a big heart.
